LONDON, England, March 9, 2026 â Boxing News is proud to announce a landmark partnership with KRONK Boxing Gym, aiming to bring fans closer to the heritage and legacy that both brands represent.
The history of these two boxing institutions is widely known across the sporting landscape, but there is now an opportunity for them to collaborate on forward-thinking ideas and nostalgia-driven stories.
Boxing News magazine was first published in 1909, with founding editor John Murray stating that âboxing will stand for good clean sport.â
Since then, the publication has upheld its core principles of integrity, accuracy and independent journalism, maintaining its position as one of the sportâs leading voices.
In December 2025, Boxing News released its final weekly issue before reinventing itself as a monthly magazine, allowing for more in-depth storytelling and long-form features.
Additionally, its digital platforms have recorded a significant rise in engagement, with Boxing News reporting on March 5, 2026, that it has gained 262 million views, 268,000 new followers and reached 54 million people since January 1, 2026.
With this, Boxing News believes it is poised to create a compelling partnership with KRONK, building towards a one-off monthly magazine themed entirely around the iconic Detroit gym.
Director of Boxing News, Jordan Pollock, said: âKRONK Gym represents the heart and soul of boxing history. Through this partnership, Boxing News is proud to bring millions of fans closer to that legacy than ever before â sharing the iconic photos, untold stories, and powerful video moments that were forged inside the worldâs most famous gym.â
KRONK CEO Paul Bhatti said: âBoxing News has been one of the most respected voices in the sport for decades, documenting the biggest fights and the greatest champions. Iâm pleased to welcome them as an official media partner of KRONKÂŽ. Itâs a natural fit given our shared history in the sport and our commitment to boxing at every level. We are very excited about this partnershipâ
KRONK COO John Lepak said: âPartnering with Boxing News creates a powerful platform to celebrate our past, present, and future. Through this partnership, Boxing News will work alongside KRONK to amplify stories, fighters, and the continued revival of the legendary Detroit brand. The next chapter of the KRONK legacy continues.â
KRONK Boxing Gym was established by legendary trainer Emanuel Steward in 1971, boasting an alumni of iconic former world champions including Thomas âHitmanâ Hearns, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Michael Moorer and Gerald McClellan.
Following two closures since 2006, the gym reopened its doors in a new location â at the Brewster Wheeler Recreation Center on 670 Wilkins Street, Detroit â in December 2025.
Together, Boxing News and KRONK look forward to building a partnership that places impactful storytelling and retro boxing content at the forefront.
