Hunter Lee Kronk Boxer ducking under a punch

KRONK PROSPECT HUNTER LEE MOVES TO 3-0

In order to develop into a true contender in the sport of boxing, you need experience.  And unlike all sports, when an event is scheduled for say 4 quarters, the game is played out until the end, but in boxing, a 4 rounder can end with a KO in the first 10 seconds.  Saturday night in Chicago, Hunter Lee went the distance and got some much-needed experience after scoring 2 first round knockouts in his first two outings.  Lee faced off against Edgar Sims who came into the bout with a 2-1 record in the boxing ring and a veteran of 15 combat sports fights, having never been stopped on punches.  Lee showed all you would expect from a young prospect who is developing - composure, execution of new punch combinations he has been working on in camp, a solid jab, a variety of right hand, a solid body attack and great all-around ring generalship.  And while no one wants to see their fighter got caught on the chin, Simms managed to land a couple solid punches and to Lee's credit, he also showed the ability to take a punch as well.  It was much needed "work" and head trainer Theo Chambers made note that next up will be Lee learning to stop these durable opponents on his rise from prospect to contender.

Lee impressed veteran promoter Bobby Hitz who is excited to bring Lee back in November to the Hard Rock Casino outside Chicago on his next card.  KRONK and Hitz Boxing are in talks to also work closely together on several additional areas of business.
